Interpretive Research: Sharing Experiences

This workshop will provide an opportunity to learn more about interpretive research, share experiences, and connect with colleagues from across Griffith University who undertake interpretive research.

We will explore what it means to undertake research which understands knowledge as situated, relational and socially constructed. In doing so, we will discuss positionality, reflexivity, and intersubjectivity in qualitative interviewing, and consider debates about interpretation, representation, ethics, and research quality. Participants will be invited to share their experiences of interpretive research and reflect on the strengths and challenges of working from an interpretive perspective.
