ABOUT
As generative AI tools are increasingly used in HDR, it is important for all HDR supervisors to understand how HDR candidates can appropriately use and acknowledge AI in their research outputs. This session provides an overview of the guidelines and tools available to support HDR candidates in meeting their responsibilities, including Griffith University’s Guidance for the Responsible Use of AI in Research and the ACGR Good Practice Guidelines for Generative Artificial Intelligence Use in Graduate Research Training. It will outline what examiners look for when examining a thesis, responsibilities of HDR supervisors to check where HDR candidates have used AI in their thesis and other research outputs, and how candidates should declare the use of AI. The session will also analyse best practice case studies and national & international trends in the use of AI in HDR.
This webinar is an elective workshop in the Graduate Research Development's training program for HDR supervisors.
