ABOUT

This year’s symposium will build on the momentum and shared learning of previous years, to deepen our collective understanding of how Indigenous knowledges can meaningfully shape every aspect of our work at Griffith. It will continue conversations around reciprocity, Indigenous flourishing and our responsibility to embed these principles across the University’s strategic priorities.

In 2026, the symposium invites you to extend your practice further—engaging in critical reflection, strengthening cultural capability, and developing practical strategies that lead to real, sustained change. Together, we will explore how Indigenous and non‑Indigenous knowledges can be woven into daily decision‑making, teaching, research and community engagement, enriching the Griffith experience for staff, students and partners alike.

Participants who attend all sessions in the program will receive a personalised Certificate of Attendance recognising their professional development.

The symposium will take place on the land of the Yuggera, Turrbal, Yugarabul, Jagera and Yugambeh peoples (Logan).

Morning tea and lunch will be provided.

Please complete your registration by Friday 16 October.
